A Christmas Offering

Jesus famously said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35) and Christmas is a time of year when both the giving and receiving of gifts plays a significant part.

In amongst the festivities and celebrations, Christmas is also a time for us to be mindful of those less fortunate than ourselves. Each year at our Carol Services we take a special offering to support charities that are working with those in need, both close to home and further afield.

At our Carol Services this Sunday we will take a collection, the proceeds of which will be divided between the Tearfund Ebola Crisis Appeal and GrowTH Homeless Shelter in Tower Hamlets.

We will share a little more about each of these causes on the day, and you can visit their websites in advance to find out what the money will be going to.

The Carol Services will take place on Sunday December 14 at 15.00 and 18.30. We look forward to seeing you there.
