As many of you who are part of the church are aware, we have been on a journey over these last few years as we have sought to clarify who we are and the mission that God has given us.

As part of this we have found great joy in being able to relate to a wider set of Christian leaders and other churches, and have benefitted greatly from their preaching, friendship and counsel.

We thought that it would be helpful to recognise this more clearly and have therefore asked some of these men and women whether they would function as a Council of Reference for us. They are all people with whom we are in regular contact, which ensures that there is a genuine dynamic to what has been set up.

We have asked them whether they would make themselves available to advise or help us as and when they can. We have felt very honoured by the unanimous response by everyone we have approached.

Whilst the Senior Leadership Team and the Trustees remain responsible for the leadership and governance of the church, the Council of Reference is available as an advisory body of friends and mentors to support as required.
