One of the things that I’m really passionate about as a worshipper and a worship leader is hearing fresh expressions of faith and love for God being put into words and into melodies.
At ChristChurch London, I know many people share the same heart for this, which is why I’m really excited that home-grown songs are starting to emerge. Songs being written by our church, for our church.
I’ve always felt that new songs of worship and fresh expressions of creativity should be a by-product of a healthy, worshipping church and believe that songs can be like a snapshot that capture what God has been doing in our own lives and in our church over a season or period of time.
We’ve recently launched a page on Soundcloud where you can check out some of our own worship songs being written by people from ChristChurch London. There are currently three songs up there: Letting Go, Magnificent and In The Name Of Jesus. Check them out, let us know what you think, share any that you like and follow us to keep up to date when we add new songs.
We’ve also created a Spotify account where you can access playlists that feature the majority of the songs that we’re currently using at church. So if you’ve been wondering where you can find a certain song that we sing, do check out either our Worship Shortlist, which features 45 of our most commonly used songs, or our full Worship Playlist, which features most songs that we tend to use on a Sunday.
