We are advised in the Bible to pray for those who lead us, and so today we focus our prayers in that direction. Join with us as we pray for those in leadership across our nation.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, you have asked us to pray for those who lead and govern us so that we may live in peaceful lives. We pray for all those who hold power at this time. Would you give our nation leaders who will lead with skill, wisdom, integrity and understanding. Would you help us, as your church, to continue to pray for those who represent us to the world. We pray for the leaders of the remaining EU nations at this time, would you give wisdom and peace as they too navigate their way through this time. Amen.

For reflection: ‘I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.’ 1 Timothy 2:1-2
